The cold does not come through the walls. It comes under the door.
A few millimetres under a door are enough: cold air gets in, the room never really warms up and the heating runs for nothing.
The draught excluder slides as soon as you open the door. The budget foam peels off overnight. The seal that is too thick jams the door. So you end up living with the draught.

STEP 1
CLEAN AND DRY
Degrease the bottom of the door and let it dry. That is what makes the adhesive hold.
STEP 2
CUT TO LENGTH
Measure the width of the door and cut with scissors, edge to edge.
STEP 3
STICK AND PRESS
Remove the film, set the lip level with the floor and press along the whole length. Wait 24 hours before washing the floor.

If it goes through, air goes through too. With the seal, the silicone lip touches the floor: the paper is blocked, and cold air, dust and insects stay outside.

Fitting
Will my door still close?
The 35 mm silicone lip is soft: it touches the floor when the door is closed and folds back as soon as you open it. Fit it level with the floor without squashing it. If your door rubs, simply move the seal up by a few millimetres.
Which surfaces does it stick to?
Any smooth, clean, dry surface: painted or varnished wood, PVC, metal, glass. Degrease the bottom of the door first, let it dry, then press hard along the whole length. Avoid dusty, chalky or damp surfaces: that is where an adhesive lets go.
What if it is cold on the day I fit it?
The adhesive takes badly on a cold or damp door. Fit the seal at room temperature, with the door closed for a while, and let it set for 24 hours before washing the floor. That simple wait makes all the difference to how long it lasts.

How many rolls do I need?
A roll is 5 metres long. It goes all the way round a standard door, or along the bottom of six doors. For the front door, two bedrooms and a window, three rolls are more than enough. That is the pack most of our customers choose.
Does it come off without damaging the door?
Yes. The double-sided adhesive comes off without leaving a mark on a sound surface. Peel it off slowly, pulling parallel to the door rather than towards you. On old or flaking paint, test a hidden area first.
Does it work on a shower door?
Yes. Silicone is water resistant: fitted at the bottom of a shower screen or door, it holds back splashes. Choose the transparent one to keep it invisible, and wait 24 hours before the first shower, so the adhesive sets properly on the glass.

If it comes unstuck within 30 days despite being fitted on a clean, dry surface, send us a photo through the contact form. We refund you in full, without asking you to send the seal back. Remember to degrease before fitting: that is what makes it hold.

You have 30 days after receipt to change your mind. One message through the contact form is enough: no return form, no parcel to pack up or send back. We refund you in full, to your original payment method, and you keep the product.
